A revenge musical full of soaring beauty, pitch-black comedy and stunning terror. The unsettling tale of a Victorian-era barber who returns home to London after being released from prison for a crime he didn’t commit. After fifteen years of exile, he vows to take revenge on the corrupt judge who ruined his life. When revenge eludes him, Sweeney swears vengeance on the entire human race, murdering as many people as he can, while his business associate, Mrs. Lovett, has the brilliant idea of how to deal with the aftermath of Todd’s handiwork which makes her pie shop and the barber’s chair the most popular place in London. Will Sweeney’s obsession prevent him from recognizing a chance of salvation or will madness overwhelm all?
